Leading Health Care Provider Cures DNS Ills With Infoblox Network Identity Appliances

SUNNYVALE, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 02/07/05 -- Infoblox Inc., the leading developer of network identity infrastructure systems, today announced that INTEGRIS Health, Oklahoma's largest not-for-profit health care provider, has selected and deployed Infoblox network identity appliances to simplify, secure and scale its network identity infrastructure and to provide a platform for future applications.

INTEGRIS, which operates a Wide Area Network (WAN) that connects more than 50 locations including hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and physician's clinics throughout the state, supports over 9,000 full-time employees. It also operates more than 450 different applications from radiology to wireless tablet software requiring 24x7 network uptime, reliability and high performance. Recognizing that reliable domain name services (DNS) are critical to maintaining these objectives, INTEGRIS Health replaced its previous complex and often unreliable DNS solution with Infoblox DNSone appliances to serve as the company's core external name servers.

"INTEGRIS has built a reputation as one of the most technologically advanced health care organizations in the country, but our previous DNS infrastructure lagged behind the rest of our IT environment," said Bob Hodge, manager of network services for INTEGRIS. "The Infoblox network identity appliances dramatically increase reliability, reduce administrative overhead and allow our department to support more users and applications. The systems have worked flawlessly. As a result, we plan to use the DNSone appliances for our internal DNS services in conjunction with our Microsoft Active Directory(TM) environment, as well as for dynamic host configuration protocol (DHCP) services for our voice over IP (VoIP) solution."

Infoblox DNSone appliances are designed to provide the foundation for next-generation network identity services in a secure and easy-to-manage form factor. The hardened appliance design and intuitive graphical user interface (GUI) enable the offloading of DNS and DHCP services from general-purpose servers that typically handle multiple functions and require significant administration overhead. Instead, these services can be easily managed by a purpose-built, high-availability (HA) appliance that is inherently secure, reliable and scalable, freeing network administration resources and providing increased security for these critical network identity services.
